The new members of the Witex laminate flooring family “euro actual” and “euro nature V2”

Since January 2011, the floor covering specialist Witex has been marketing two special European collections in its neighbouring countries very successfully, which were introduced under the name “euro” collection. To mark Domotex 2012, these collections will now also be adopted into the overall portfolio of the Witex family of collections for the whole European market.

In terms of quality, the “euro” collections hardly differ from the manufacturer's other laminate floors, although “euro” will not only be supplied with the LOC-TEC click-in connection, tried and tested a million times, but from February 2012 selected products will also come with a fold-down technology (LocTec Pro), which meets the premium standard of Witex floors and has already been used for some years, e.g. with “pure” or also with the current long plank “ariosa” collection.

The product range currently consists of the “euro actual” and “euro nature V2” collections, which are distinguished by decor finishes with a European character and by two different lengths, so that the requirements of various age groups across the whole spectrum can be covered. The collections are based on PEFC-certified core materials in brand quality.

For “euro actual”, which can be supplied as a country style single plank or 2 and 3-strip flooring, there is a choice of twelve distinct decors in various surface designs, such as tangible wood textures, matt or handscraped finishes. The “euro nature V2” collection is only available as a country style single plank with oak decors and handscraped finishes, which pick up on the trend of cream and grey shades and new walnut colours.

“euro actual”

The core material is a PEFC-certified 8 mm HDF with a profile seal that gives the floor additional protection against moisture after installation. Measuring 192 mm wide x 1280 mm long, the product has an XL format. It has been classified in the service group AC 4 – 23/32. The twelve decor finishes, Acacia, Beech Tradition, Oak Country, Oak Finish, Virginia Oak, Pine Trentino, Walnut Classic + Balance plus Sardinian Pine and the decor Teak, are available in the colour gradations Cream, Grey and Dark. As an option, the collection is available with a “Sound Protect Eco” mat as footfall noise insulation in a beige design. There are matching skirting boards for all the decors.

Guarantee: 20 years on product stability, click-in connection, abrasion, UV-resistance and non-staining quality when used in the home. In the case of commercial use, the guarantee period is 5 years.

“euro nature V2”

The base is an 8 mm thick, PEFC-certified and swell-resistant HDF Aqua-Protect core board, with all-round profile seal for moisture protection. That means that “Nature V2” can also be used in damp rooms. With a width of 192 mm and length of 1376 mm, the floor has an XL format with authentic V-joint on the long edges. “Nature V2” has been classified in service group AC 4 – 23/32. The collection features twelve wood decors: Oak Yellow, European Oak, White-washed Oak, New Hampshire Oak, Oak Country, Michigan Oak, Ontario Oak, Oak, Sand Oak and Oak Wave in the colours Cream, Dark and Grey. As an option, the “Sound Protect Eco” mat is also offered for “Nature V2” as footfall noise insulation. Matching skirting boards for all the decors round off the collection. The guarantee periods are the same as for “euro actual”.
