Witex: the fitness flooring

Aerobics, indoor jogging, spinning, bodybuilding - the modern fitness steaks are all about speed, and this should not mean that the operator is forced to work hard at caring for the flooring. Witex introduces the perfect fitness flooring: its highly-durable “elastoclic pur” PU flooring in handy panel format.

Quality flooring is depended on in particular in fitness studies, in which demanding mechanical and climactic requirements need to be fulfilled, quality flooring that displays highly-durable, sound-insulating properties and that is also gentle on the joints.
Witex designed its functional “elastoclic pur” flooring as the perfect type of flooring for this sector. The product has already been installed in many schools and fitness studios throughout Europe, e.g. Easy-Fit, Schweiz, or Media-Fit, Detmold, and is best known for its longevity and quick installation as well as its animicrobial, chemical-resistant and environmentally-friendly properties.

The highly-durable flooring on a PU basis, suitable for those with allergies, offers professional floor layers and architects a considerable saving in terms of time in comparison with handling rolls of material. On the one hand, it's much easier for workers to deal with the handy flooring panels than with rolls of material. On the other hand, “elastoclic pur” can be used immediately after installation and the preparatory work required to install PU rolls of material, e.g. filling and waiting for glue to harden and dry, is avoided.

Carefree installation thanks to its “click connection”
With the combination of a pure polyurethane surface, placed on an Aqua Protect core board, and the glueless LocTec click connection which has been tried and tested in the laminate and pre-finished parquet sector, the innovative manufacturer Witex has combined the advantages offered by two flooring sectors in a completely new floor covering. This means that “elastoclic pur” is now a new and lucrative source of income for handcraft workers and planners, and also for other building-related professions such as painters, dry-wallers and tile-layers. Both formats, which come in 12 mm thickness, in 294 mm x 1,176 mm panel format and in 294 mm x 294 mm square square, and in 17 uni and harmony décors in each case, allow for numerous designs to be created, covering almost every customer desire.

Environmentally friendly and easy to care for
The sealed molecular structure of the PU surface means that the floor is easy to care for and can be quickly cleaned. The specially protected Aqua-Protect coreboard guarantees that the flooring remains resistant over time and that it can also be used in rooms with a high moisture content. “elastoclic pur” is odourless, emission-free, recyclable and does not release toxological gases in case of fire.
With a utility class of 34, Witex “elastoclic pur” is highly resilient. Due to the product's high abrasion resistance and optimum life cycle, a cost saving of up to 35 % can be made in comparison with other durable floor coverings (according to a Life Cycle Cost Analysis - LCCA).
