At Domotex and BAU 2007, Witex is presenting an even more diverse side. In its core laminate sector, the flooring manufacturer has more than 19 new wooden reproductions, including laminate flooring with a four sided V joint, new panel formats and what are referred to as “handscraped” surfaces. It also has three brand new trendy laminate collections “ambra/ambra color”, “vision” and “marena select V4”, which traders can use to offer even greater individuality in the floor covering sector.
Brand quality at an introductory price: “ambra/ambra color”
High-quality laminate will soon no longer be sold because of price dumping. A good price has to be paid for good quality. However, Witex wishes to take the traders' desire for a more favourable introductory category into account and is now offering a new product in brand quality with its new “ambra/ambra color” laminate collection. The range to choose from is small, coming in six current timber finishes, for example Maple, Beech, Oak and Cherry in a country style single plank design or in a three strip design. For younger residents or to furnish a colourful children's room, Witex is offering more colour as part of its “ambra color” range, which comes in seven trendy colour décors: Maple Mint, Maple Sky, Blue Beech, Grey Beech, Yellow Birch, Grey Oak and White Oak.
The 13 “ambra/ambra color” laminate floorboards with a fine wooden texture come on a solid 7 mm thick HDF coreboard in 1,280 mm x 192 mm format. The installation safe brand product is fitted with a LocTec click connection and is also protected against swelling by special waterproof edging. The new collection can be ordered with or without the “Sound-Protect” acoustic system. For even greater customer security, it comes with a 10 year guarantee against wear for private use, and a 5 year guarantee for commercial use. “ambra/ambra color” has been placed in service group 23/31.

“marena select V4” - a choice finish with authentic grooves
In the higher price sector is the new laminate flooring “marena select V4”, which is part of the “marena allrounder” product line and which quickly catches the eye thanks to its four sided groove design and “handscraped” surfaces. The narrower and longer 156 mm x 1,380 mm panel format, which comes in a total of eight fancy designs with Anti-Static properties; Noble Maple, European Oak, Mountain Oak, Country Style Oak, Oregon Hickory, Country Walnut and American Pecan, highlight the elegant country style plank design particularly well. The preference that demanding consumers have for unique floorings, which appear more authentic because of their tangible timber structure, is also confirmed in this case.
An 8 mm thick HDF Aqua-Protect coreboard and the tried and tested “LocTec Click Connection” are used as a basis for the production of “marena select V4”. In order to prevent the laminate elements from swelling, special waterproof edging is used, which means that the new “marena select V4” flooring can also be used in rooms where it may be exposed to moisture, without any problems. It comes with a 15 year guarantee against wear for private use, and a 5 year guarantee for commercial use. “marena select V4” has been placed in service group 23/32.
“vision” - the optimum combination of cold building materials
With “vision”, Witex presents the specialist dealer with ten new “designer” laminate décors, which consist of exclusive finishes in a fantasy and design metal look. These novel laminate finishes can be successfully combined with many current cold building materials such as concrete, glass, stone and stainless steel, but are also suitable as a sharp contrast to warm, expressive woods and are therefore among the trendy décors for extravagant and unusual stylish living in 2007.
The modern “vision” collection consists of an 8 mm thick HDF Aqua-Protect coreboard with a softer surface and Anti-Static properties, as well as special edge protection against moisture. The XXL panel format is 305 mm x 1,208 mm and also comes with the LocTec click connection.
The décors available are: Antique Cleopatra, Art Wood, Copperfield, Fascinating Smile, Graf Rock, Koushi, Grey Match, Lila Match, Progetto and Campino. The Campino décor for example has an oxidised metal finish, that complies fully with the puristic requirements of the market. The weathered iron and slate blue plated metal finish can be effortlessly created for this décor. It comes with a 20 year guarantee against wear for private use, and a 5 year guarantee for commercial use. The “vision” laminate collection has been placed in service group 23/32.

Additional new and fancy dark décors have been added to the successful existing “bonita”, “casa”, “marena classic” and “marena select“ collections. These include: Masurian Apple, Striking Apple, Smoked Oak, Sherwood Oak, Oak Texture, Pacific Slate in an Ivory, Sand and Sable finish as well as Pacific Slate Graphite and Amber. This means that Witex traders will be able to offer an even greater selection of products in future, clearly separating them from other current décor offers. By carrying the CE and CELQ mark, Witex is also offering an additional important and clearly visible quality feature and a means for traders and consumers to make a selection, and which is also used to clearly identify the laminate flooring brand “Made in Germany” from various other floor covering offers.
