Scheduled Change in the Management of the Witex Group

Two Managing Directors to Head the Company

Witex International Flooring GmbH has reorganized its management board. Current CEO, Karl-Heinz Scholz (51), is handing the reigns over to Jörg Freyer (35) and Norbert Kleinschmidt (50), and will be leaving the company, as planned, on 30 September 2005 to devote himself to a new career challenge. Mr. Scholz will maintain a friendly relationship with Witex after he leaves the company.
Karl-Heinz Scholz was appointed CEO in January this year to give the company a new strategic alignment and build up a new management team in cooperation with the executive board. His main duties were to introduce the innovation process for new products at Witex, secure the property rights that go with them on an international basis, and to reorganize the company’s America business and international sales activities. These tasks have now been brought to a successful conclusion and Mr. Scholz is leaving the company as planned.
With the new management duo, two experienced Witex managers will be heading the company in future. Former Commercial Director Jörg Freyer has additionally taken over the areas of Marketing, Sales and Strategy, while Norbert Kleinschmidt is responsible for Technology, Purchasing and Logistics in the Witex Group management board from 1 October 2005 on.
