Dan Pearlman brand architects have developed a new shop and communications concept for the international fashion brand Pimkie. The first store opened on the 3rd of November 2005 in Berlin.
Additional new branches were opened up - throughout Europe -until the end of February 2006.
This retail concept “The point of me”, combines lifestyles and needs with sentimental product worlds to inspire young customers.
Under the motto “Pimkie brings you on the stage of life”, Dan Pearlman Brand Architecture developed a new integrated concept for Pimkie, a concept that includes the store design, communication at the point of sale and the revision of their logo.
The shop is divided by a walkway into a checkout and goods area, and offers a suitable arena for Pimkie's three main collections “trendy”, “casual” and “feminine”. A large backstage area with changing rooms, which can be transformed into double-sized changing rooms if required, invite people to try on clothes with their friends with ample room provided, while also offering a beauty and fashion forum by providing temporary extras such as photoshooting or styling.
“Pimkie demonstrates a hip attitude to life, that's more in pink and orange, more than a favourable fashion brand - Pimkie is a world in itself”; the concept approach as described by Nicole Scrock-Stanley, Creative Director and Managing Director with Dan Pearlman. “An industry style should be expressed, and from this a real and integrated “Feel Pimkie” experience emerges. We even wanted to ensure that this style would be continued when installing the floor. For this, we selected Witex's laminate flooring in dark anthracite stone beech.”
For Markus Roschel, Pimkie's Managing Director, the brand is on its way to becoming a European brand for an entire generation: “Our target group is young, and therefore our prices are affordable. In addition, we would not only like our customers to be able to purchase good, low-priced clothing, but we would also like them to be able to try out and try on our clothes so that they can develop a style of their own.”
This attitude to life can also clearly be seen in Pimkie's new stores, along with the integrated concept used. In our new stores we're offering our customers a fashion world which they themselves can stage manage - which always has something different to offer and which is always affordable.

The arena of life is already representative of the sensible phase of becoming an adult for the core target group of 15 to 25 year olds. Dan Pearlman has integrated these emotions and expectations into the Pimkie brand's philosophy, and has created a coherent brand concept that can be used throughout Europe.
Witex, the laminate flooring manufacturer based in Augustdorf, then provided the dark anthracite decor in stone birch with a 3-strip appearance, appropriate to the concept being used.
“Schönhauser-Allee Arkaden” (a large shopping mall in the centre of Berlin) will be fitted out in this way - followed by further nine branches”, according to Markus Roschel.
