In April, one of the leading names in the furniture business opened its sixth store in Germany. In the centre of Stuttgart, in the Stilwerk section of the Königsbau Passagen centre, Flötotto has opened a new mecca for contemporary furniture, classic furniture and modern modular furniture, for high-quality home and office interiors.
A selection of upmarket furnishing styles are displayed over more than 350 m2 of sales and floor space. These furnishing styles provide plenty of inspiration for queries on interiors, and show the flexibility and versatility of Flötotto modular furniture.
The quality furniture arrangements have been placed on flooring provided by Witex, the flooring specialist. The entire sales and floor space has been covered by “ceraclic original”, a new type of flooring with mineral core board, available from Witex.
“Ceraclic original” successfully combines the requirements of modern shopfitting trends and makes an impression in the busy store area with its special quality features: high footfall and room acoustics insulation, a pleasure to walk on, flexible design possibilities, quick to lay down and extremely resilient due to its X Protect surface.

Pure concrete was used as décor. This is modelled on the natural, smooth radiance of concrete with its light, shiny finish and therefore best highlights the clear lines of the presentation design. To maintain the floor's flexibility, ceraclic original was installed with its factory style joint which means that it can be taken up and redesigned at any time using a simple unlocking system.

The pre-finished flooring, which comes in handy 600x393mm panel format was installed on a hydride self-levelling screed as a floating floor.
To lay down such a large amount of flooring, the Augustdorf based company used the patented, easy to handle clic connection, with an average period of 2 to 2.5 days required to lay down the flooring.

With its interior oasis for upmarket furniture shopping in Stuttgart, Flötotto set-up a showroom project in co-operation with Witex, which is setting trends for the presentation of comprehensive interior awareness in the home and item sector, and which is setting the trend for shopfitting: flexible systems, clear shapes, a “hidden” design, which functions as a whole, and floor coverings with stone or wood finishes, which can be quickly transformed.
