Witex pre-finished parquet: “design clic” - multiline combining robustness with an innovative design

Witex is launching an extravagant new pre-finished “industrial-look” parquet at Domotex, in which the Augustdorf based flooring manufacturer combines the advantages of genuine wood with an innovative design that is both quick and easy to install.
This new, 15 mm thick multiline parquet is “design clic”, a product that can also be effortlessly used in the business market due to its robustness. This now means that the manufacturer's high-quality, ecological pre-finished parquet offer is now complete, creating an exceptional three-layer wooden floor with a 4.3 mm thick wear layer, offering clear advantages in relation to installing the floor, as well as to its longevity and its easycare characteristics.

The block-glued top layer means that the individual floorboards that make up the 15 mm thick “design clic” parquet are basically stress-free and therefore extremely stable. The result is a surface with perfectly uniform joints after installation, that is impermeable to both liquid and dirt. The high fitting accuracy of the floorboards, which come in 2,280 mm x 204 mm format, also ensures that they can be quickly and easily installed. The new pre-finished parquet can be quickly installed without the use of glue, as with all Witex floors, and comes equipped with the modern and reliable LocTec Wood Locking System. The connection's high tensile strength guarantees that the floorboards remain parallel during installation. To achieve optimum room acoustics for your “design clic” multiline floor, the manufacturer recommends that you use the “Sound-Protect” Acoustic System, “Professional Line” rolled material as a base and to level the floor.

The surface of “design clic” pre-finished parquet is protected from scuffing by a six-layer matt finish UV lacquer and a sealed pore “Anti-Scratch Seal”. This ensure that the fine finish of the valuable wood will be preserved in the case of excess wear. For private living spaces, the flooring comes with a 25 year guarantee. The new Witex parquet flooring also displays its suitability by being classified in accordance with EU fire classifications EN13501-1 and Cfl-S1 as highly inflammable (formerly known as B1) and by being classified in accordance with EN425 (suitable for rolling chairs). The surface of the floor remains undamaged as far as is possible, even after supporting approx. 100,000 revolutions with type W rolling chairs.
The new multiline “design clic” pre-finished parquet will be available to traders from January 2007 in its classic grading, in muted beech and core-smoked oak.

In order to be able to offer even greater variety to handcraft workers, traders and discerning users in future with its small, yet exclusive pre-finished parquet collection, Witex has expanded its well-known “solo clic”, “duo clic” and “trio clic” parquet ranges by adding new and unusual, and darker woods to its range in particular, for example, core-smoked oak and merbau.

To ensure that Witex could offer consumers and professional floor layers a parquet that also complies with environmental standards, the Augustdorf based company has brought its entire parquet collection into line with strict guidelines. As a result, only wood that comes from sustainable, PEFC certified forests is used in the production process - which is in opposition to wider market offers.
Witex is also leading the way on the topic of quality manufacturing in accordance with the European standard (CE certification). The company has already received CE certification and is now among the leading European suppliers, that now fulfil parquet standards in accordance with EU guidelines (EN 14342:2005), though this is not required of parquet producers until 1.3.2008.
Witex parquet now provides traders, handcraft workers and consumers with an important and reliable indication of certified product safety and therefore an important means of assisting those deciding on a parquet, thanks to acquiring early CE certification.
