Witex: “Clipstar” - a new fixing system for skirting boards

When skirting boards have to be screwed or nailed to the wall after installing a laminate or parquet flooring, the visible nail and screw heads can ruin the overall impact of the new flooring area. To prevent this, Witex is now offering the “Clipstar” fixing system that allows skirting boards to be invisibly installed and that also comes with room for a cable duct.

The highlight of the fixing system are its spring steel fixing clips - these create the supporting element, on which the skirting boards are simply placed. The clip itself can be used to line up the skirting boards properly. It can also be used as an assembly template to mark out the drill holes. After screwing the clips to the wall, the skirting board, which has been marked with a notch on the back, can simply be locked into place on the clip. The result is a visually appealing and ideal solution for the viewer, who can also readily remove the skirting boards at any time before wallpapering or carrying out renovation work and who can then re-attach the skirting boards once the work is completed.

“Clipstar” can also be used to attach skirting boards to problem areas such as external and internal corners in a stable way. To go with its laminate and parquet range, Witex is offering a wide range of skirting boards in 14 mm x 70 mm, 16 mm x 60 mm and 22 mm x 42 mm dimensions to go with the fixing technology described. A new skirting board that is particularly exclusive comes with a genuine aluminium coating in 15 mm x 70 mm format that primarily appeals to architects and those who love designer goods.

To create an even more perfect floor, traders can also obtain matching internal and external corner pieces or end pieces in current timber representations for the entire laminate range. From Maple, Apple and Beech to Oak, Alder, Cherry and Walnut, classic woods are also represented alongside dark woods that have become popular.
